Production Manager (Jelgava, Latvia)

Haugaard Baltic is offering a mature professional to join a highly technologically advanced production site with a focus on high quality and green technologies. The Production Manager will be entrusted a vital role in organization to ensure the cost-effective and efficient operation of the furniture production process.

Key Functions:

• Plan and coordinate production processes, ensuring efficient management of both human and manufacturing resources;
• Utilize LEAN methods to optimize production and conduct KPI analysis to improve cost-effectiveness;
• Maintain close collaboration with the quality department to uphold high production standards and ensure compliance with product quality requirements;
• Manage the team and foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, identifying and resolving problem situations;
• Implement cost-effective production methods to minimize waste and enhance overall productivity;
• Take an active role in managing and developing the company as a whole.

Qualification and skills:

• 5+ years of work experience in metal or furniture manufacturing (preferred) or production management;
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other similar field;
• Experience leading and motivating a team to achieve production goals;
• Strong understanding of LEAN methods, Production planning, Quality control principles and Rational Manufacturing Methodologies;
• Knowledge of work safety and risk management;
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specification;
• Proficient in computer skills (MS Excel at a high level), experience with ERP (preferred) or other production resource planning programs;
• Fluent/native Latvian and a good command of English.
